Cannabis Vapes Available at The Purple Leaf
Our cannabis vapes and cartridges section is one of the most well-stocked available from any London, Ontario retailer. Here’s what you’ll find.
Disposable Vape Pens
Disposable cannabis vape pens are the most beginner-friendly vaping option available. They come pre-charged and pre-filled, require no setup, and are simply discarded once the oil is finished. They’re discreet, portable, and consistent — the same experience every time.
Disposables are available in indica, sativa, and hybrid formulations, with THC, CBD, or blended oil options. They’re ideal for new vapers, occasional users, or anyone who values convenience over long-term cost efficiency.
510-Thread Cartridges
510-thread cartridges are the standard format for refillable cannabis vaping. The cartridge contains the oil — THC distillate, live resin, or CBD — and attaches to a compatible 510-thread battery. Once the cartridge is empty, you simply swap it out and attach a new one.
This format offers better value per milligram of oil than disposables, and the range of available oil types means you can dial in your experience much more precisely. Browse our current vapes and cartridges selection for available options.
Cannabis Oil Types for Vaping
The type of oil in your vape cartridge has a significant impact on the experience. Here’s a quick breakdown of the most common options:
THC distillate — highly refined cannabis oil with high THC content. Clean, consistent, and potent. The most widely available cartridge format on the legal Canadian market.
Live resin — extracted from freshly frozen cannabis plants to preserve the full terpene profile of the original strain. Live resin cartridges offer a much richer flavour and a more nuanced, strain-specific effect than distillate. Browse our live resin products for more.
CBD oil — non-psychoactive cannabis oil for users who want the wellness benefits of cannabis without the high. Available in our CBD section.
Full-spectrum oil — contains a broader range of cannabinoids and terpenes than isolated distillate, offering what many users describe as a more complete, well-rounded experience.
Vaporizer Accessories
Already have a device? We carry a range of vaporizer accessories to keep your setup running properly — from batteries and chargers to cleaning tools and replacement components. Browse our vaporizer accessories section for current availability.
Nicotine Vapes and E-Cigarettes at The Purple Leaf
In addition to our cannabis vaping range, The Purple Leaf carries nicotine-based vaping products and e-cigarettes through our tobacco section. Whether you’re looking to transition away from traditional cigarettes or you’re an experienced vaper looking to restock, we’ve got options available online with the same local delivery and Canada-wide shipping as our cannabis products.
What to Look for When Buying Vapes in London, Ontario
With so many vaping products on the market, it pays to know what separates a quality product from a poor one.
Always Buy From a Legitimate Retailer
Counterfeit vape hardware and unregulated cannabis cartridges are a real issue in the Canadian market. Unverified products carry genuine health risks — contaminated oil, faulty hardware, and undisclosed ingredients have all been documented in the grey market. Every vaping product sold by The Purple Leaf is authentic, sourced from verified producers, and tested to meet Health Canada standards.
Understand Your Oil Type
As outlined above, the type of oil in your cartridge determines the experience. Distillate is consistent and widely available. Live resin is richer and more strain-specific. CBD is non-psychoactive. Knowing the difference before you buy means you’re far less likely to be disappointed.
Match the Device to Your Needs
If you’re new to vaping, a disposable pen is the lowest-friction entry point — no setup, no maintenance, no learning curve. If you vape regularly, a quality 510-thread battery paired with replaceable cartridges offers significantly better value over time. Our team at The Purple Leaf can help you find the right setup for your experience level and budget — call us at 519-777-9498 or browse our full vapes section online.
Check the THC and CBD Percentages
Legal cannabis vape products in Canada are required to clearly display cannabinoid content. This tells you how potent a product is before you buy. New users should start with lower THC options and work up gradually — vaping delivers effects faster than other consumption methods, so the experience can be more intense than expected if you’re not prepared.
Cannabis Vaping vs Smoking — What’s the Difference?
Many cannabis users in London, Ontario are switching from smoking flower to vaping, and for good reason.
Temperature control. Vaping heats cannabis oil or flower to a temperature that releases cannabinoids and terpenes as vapour, without the combustion that produces smoke. This means fewer harmful byproducts than traditional smoking.
Discretion. Vapour dissipates more quickly and produces less odour than smoke — a meaningful advantage for users who want a more discreet experience.
Onset speed. Like smoking, vaping delivers effects quickly — typically within minutes. This makes it easier to gauge your dose compared to edibles, which can take up to two hours.
Convenience. A charged vape pen requires no preparation, no rolling, no equipment. It’s the most portable and low-maintenance way to consume cannabis.
If you’re interested in exploring other consumption methods alongside vaping, browse our full range of flower, edibles, concentrates, and pre-rolls at The Purple Leaf.
Tips for First-Time Vapers in London, Ontario
Start with a disposable. Before investing in a full vape setup, try a disposable pen to see if vaping suits you. They’re affordable, require no commitment, and give you a reliable introduction to the experience.
Start low on THC. Vaping cannabis delivers effects faster and more intensely than some users expect. Beginning with a lower-THC product and working up gradually is always the safer, smarter approach.
Keep your device clean. Regular maintenance extends the life of your vape hardware and keeps the flavour clean. Our gear section carries cleaning supplies compatible with most vaping devices.
Store cartridges properly. Keep cartridges upright, away from direct sunlight and heat. Exposure to high temperatures can degrade the oil and affect the quality of your experience.
Ask before you buy. Not sure which product is right for you? Our team at The Purple Leaf is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 8 PM EST. Call 519-777-9498 or email us and we’ll point you in the right direction.
